Involvement
We encourage our students to get fully involved in the whole
sphere of school life and this includes raising considerable
amounts for charity throughout the year.
International charities such as World Vision or LEPRA are
supported, alongside national charities such as the Poppy
Appeal and local causes such as Keech Cottage Hospice.
The charities to be supported are decided by the students
themselves through the Sixth Form Council.
An increasing number of students are supported to become
actively involved in help in other countries as part of their gap
year activities.
The school has developed strong links with a school in South
Africa. This link was initiated as part of the South African
World Cup 2010 and the London Olympics 2012, but has
gone from strength to strength with both staff and students
taking part in exchanges annually.
