Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400-seat theatre and Sixth Form social area.

BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT ASSISTANT

37 hours per week - Term Time Only plus 5 training days
Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm

Start Date 30th August 2024

Level 3B Points 8 – 11 (depending on experience) £24,702.00 - £25,979.00
Actual salary range will be £21,508.00 - £22,619.00

Redborne Upper School wish to appoint a determined, enthusiastic and highly motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our pastoral behaviour team. You will be responsible for supporting a behaviour manager and a behaviour officer in the smooth running of our isolation provision and support students to be fully engaged with their learning. You will liaise with year teams, senior leaders, teachers and parents and give administrative support for our behaviour systems. You will help to ensure we establish consistently high standards with regard to behaviour, uniform and punctuality. The ability to work as part of a team and confidence to work with students, parents and a range of staff is essential. This is a hugely rewarding post that gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with young people and their families.

GENERAL KITCHEN ASSISTANT

22.5 hours per week - Term Time Only plus 5 training days
Monday – Friday 9.45am – 2.30pm (15 minute unpaid break)

Start Date - 30th August 2024
Level 2 Point Range 3-6 depending on experience - £22,737.00 - £23,893.00 pro rata
(Actual salary range will be £12,039.00 - £12,651.00)

We wish to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic individual as a general kitchen assistant.

The successful applicant will work alongside experienced kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of school meals at Redborne Upper School. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a good understanding of food preparation and to hold or be prepared to obtain the required certificates in food safety.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are important. Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
