Sixth Form

Redborne has a very successful Sixth Form with over 400 students in Years 12 and 13. Our curriculum is mainly based around Level 3 courses such as AS and A Levels, BTECs and OCR Techincal Award courses. We offer nearly 40 different subjects ranging from traditional A Levels to vocational subjects such as Health and Social Care. The curriculum has been judged as ‘good’ in our most recent OFSTED inspection.

Our exam results are of a consistently high standard and each year around 80% of Year 13 students go onto Higher Education, some going to Oxford or Cambridge or highly sought after courses such as medicine or veterinary science.

Students in the Sixth Form have access to a dedicated Common Room, PC room and private study areas allowing them to effectively use study time to complete their work. Many faculty areas also have dedicated sixth form facilities.

There are a wide range of extracurricular and enrichment activities available, including sports teams and regular fund-raising events such as talent shows. Many subject areas run educational visits to support their students’ learning and understanding of the course content.

More information on the Sixth Form at Redborne is available through the links on this page and the Sixth Form Prospectus.
